Jean Giraudoux’s Ondine is actually a really sly, witty play (even translated from the original French) but Jesus fucking Christ the title character is the worst Manic Pixie Dream Girl to ever exist in fiction. A thousand Zooey Deschanels and Kirsten Dunstes couldn’t be this insufferable.
