Anonymous asked: what are your favorite non-fiction books?

Anything by Matt Taibbi, Ben Mezrich, Sarah Vowell, Mary Roach, Dominic Streatfield, Andrew Ross Sorkin, etc. Dave Cullen’s Columbine is really good. On the memoir/humor side… David Sedaris, of course, and Augusten Burroughs (his essay collections are much better than Running with Scissors/Dry, IMO) and also pretty much every memoir written by a comedian/funny person. Patton Oswalt, Michael Ian Black, Moshe Kasher, and Chris Gethard have all written really good ones. And I recently read Frank Rich’s autobiography Ghost Light and really loved it, but that’s just me talking as a theatre nerd.
