When you’re having a private conversation with one of your teachers and they’re cursing like a sailor, is that an indication that you can do it too? Because it’s pretty ingrained in me to watch my mouth around my superiors (of any kind), but this has happened like twice in the past two days WITH TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE and it’s so utterly bewildering to me.
I wouldn’t, anyway, but I still don’t get it.

our teachers won’t drink with us til we graduate, but most of them curse a bit, in class and in private conversations, and so we do too, it’s not a thing at all. Although I go to an art school so that’s a different bag of worms.
